Through a lively panel discussion, join the Villanova MBA Alumni Association's Women in Business Network to hear various perspectives and stories on the career advice you probably didn’t get. The program will serve as a forum for networking and professional development for VSB alumni.

Theme
The theme of our event is "The Career Advice You Probably Didn’t Get," based on the Ted Talk from Susan Colantuono, CEO and founder of
Leading Women (please see Pre-Work tab above). She is the author of "No Ceiling, No Walls: What Women Haven’t Been Told About Leadership," which takes a closer look at the
conventional wisdom keeping women from rising from middle management. Most
advice given to women relates to developing negotiating skills, personal
branding, networking and self-confidence. However, the need for demonstrating business, strategic and financial acumen is generally less emphasized in advice given to women, yet is an important factor in breaking through
and moving up in an organization.
