About the event

Location: St. Nicholas Park, 135th Street & St. Nicholas Ave, New York, NY
Date: Saturday, September 29th, 2018
Time: 10:50 am - 2:00 pm

Villanovans across the country will be volunteering for the 2018 St. Thomas of Villanova Day of Service.

Join the Club of NYC as we work with Partnerships for Parks, a unique public-private partnership between the City Parks Foundation and the NYC Parks system helping to revitalize green spaces throughout the city and especially in communities in need. We'll provide support planting, weeding, mulching, painting and beautifying St. Nicholas Park (park entrance at 135th Street & St. Nicholas Ave; nearest subways are the A, C, and B lines servicing the 135th Street Station).

In the past, Villanovans have contributed the equivalent of weeks’ worth of full-time staff assistance to Partnerships for Parks, helping to ensure all city residents have access to green spaces in the five boroughs. Families with children are welcome to attend and we'll cap off the day with drinks at a local pub for those who are available.

Your $15 registration fee covers service supplies and the philanthropic work orchestrated by the Villanova University Club of NYC throughout the year.
