Val Ackerman
Commissioner
BIG EAST Conference
Val Ackerman was named the fifth Commissioner of the BIG EAST Conference on June 26, 2013. She was the founding President of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and a past President of USA Basketball, which oversees the U.S. men's and women's Olympic basketball program. She has had a long and accomplished career in the sports industry and is one of the few sports executives who has held leadership positions in both men’s and women’s sports at the collegiate, professional, national team and international levels. In 2016, Val was recognized by Sports Business Journal as one of the 50 most influential people in the sports business and received the Women’s Sports Foundation’s Billie Jean King Contribution Award for significant contributions to the development and advancement of women’s sports. Val attended the University of Virginia as one of the school's first female student-athlete scholarship recipients. She was a four-year starter, three-time captain and two-time Academic All-American for the Cavaliers’ women’s basketball team and the first 1,000-point scorer in the program's history. She graduated with high distinction with a degree in political and social thought in 1981 and played one year of professional basketball in France before earning a law degree from UCLA in 1985.
 
Carissa Adams

Villanova Women's Rowing
Carissa comes to Villanova from the University of California Davis where she was the head women's rowing coach from 2006-2015. Prior to being the head coach, Adams was an assistant at UC Davis for five seasons from 2001-2006. During her time at UC Davis, Adams had numerous coaching accomplishments, including coaching a student-athlete who was selected for the 2013 U.S. Rowing pre-elite camp, earning ACRA Regional Coach of the Year in 2011 and capturing the Dad Vail Championship Women's Varsity 8 in 2008. In addition to coaching many medal-earning boats at the ACRA championships, Adams coached Division II national championship winning boats in 2001-02 and 2002-03. Adams began her coaching career at Saint Joseph's University where she was the women's novice coach from 1995 to 1997, before becoming the women's novice coach at Villanova from 1997 to 1999. Following her first stint at Villanova, she went to Lewis & Clark College where she was the women's novice coach from 1999 to 2001. She is a 1995 graduate of Saint Joseph's where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. Adams also owns a Master of Science degree in Biology (1997) and a Ph.D. in biology (2000) from Temple University.

Mark C. Alexander, JD is the Arthur J. Kania Dean and Professor of Law at the Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law. As the School’s chief administrator and chairperson of the faculty, Alexander is responsible for all facets of the Law School, including its long-term strategic and academic planning, curricular initiatives, faculty research and teaching support, student services, and fundraising and alumni relations. Regularly interviewed by national print and broadcast media, Alexander is a sought-after speaker and panelist for national and international law symposiums and academic forums.

Joe Allen is General Manager of GE Global Operations, North America, which provides integrated multi-functional shared services to GE businesses in the U.S. and Canada and around the globe, allowing GE Businesses to free up capacity and resources to apply to growth in more than 170 countries GE operates in. In his 28th year with the company, Allen has held a number of financial leadership roles across several GE businesses, including Appliances, Capital, Corporate, Energy and Plastics. Most recently, he served six years as Chief Financial Officer for GE Aviation’s Global Supply Chain, responsible for the financial oversight of the Sourcing, Manufacturing and Service activities. Allen joined GE through the Financial Management Program (FMP) and later joined the Corporate Audit Staff. He is a graduate of Villanova University, where earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Finance.

Stephen Bates is the International Business Development Executive within Forcepoint Global Governments, responsible for business strategy, development and capture supporting FVEY (Five Eye) ITAR and Foreign Military Sales, NATO, and US-led engagements across EMEA, Latin America, and Asia-Pacific. A former Army Infantry and Signal Corps officer with extensive tours in Europe and the Balkans, Bates brings the experience of major multi-million dollar capture wins at Apple, EMC and Oracle across hardware, software, and professional services engagements. Educated at Indiana University, Stephen also holds an MBA from Villanova University, and has completed extensive postsecondary studies at Harvard and the London School of Economics; and also serves as Adjunct Research Fellow at the Network Science Center at West Point.
 
Madeline Bell '83

Children's Hospital of Philadelphia
Madeline Bell is the President and CEO of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), one of the top-ranked children’s hospitals in the United States. In this role she oversees 14,000 employees in the Hospital’s $2.6-billion-a-year health system and research institute. Prior to being promoted to CEO in July 2015, Bell served as CHOP’s Chief Operating Officer for eight years. During her tenure as COO, she led significant growth while maintaining the financial strength and clinical excellence of the organization. Bell began her career as a pediatric nurse at CHOP in 1983, later leaving the organization to move into hospital administration. She returned to CHOP in 1995 to lead Home Care and Case Management, and has since held a number of leadership positions, advancing from Vice President to Senior Vice President to Executive Vice President to Chief Operating Officer. In 2015, she assumed the title of President and CEO.
 
Aronte Bennett PhD

Dr. Aronté Bennett is an Associate Professor of Marketing and the Associate Department Chair of the Marketing and Business Law Department at Villanova University. She received her BS and MBA from Florida A&M University, and her PhD from New York University. She offers courses on market research and consumer behavior. Her research which focuses on marketplace inclusion, brand image and corporate social responsibility has been published in the Journal of Consumer Psychology, the Journal of Public Policy and Marketing and the International Marketing Review. In addition to her research and teaching obligations, Bennett advises the Multicultural Business Association (McBA), an organization dedicated to supporting business students from all backgrounds. Away from campus, she is actively involved in local charities including The Junior League of Philadelphia, the Fund for the Water Works, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
 
Terri Boyer EdD, '95

Terri Boyer, EdD, '95 CLAS is the founding director of the Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women's Leadership and an associate professor of Education and Counseling. An innovative leader in economic and social equity for women, Dr. Boyer previously served as executive director of the Center for Women and Work and as an assistant research professor at Rutgers University. Dr. Boyer is an accomplished author who has published widely on educational and workforce equity, institutional reform for equity, women's education and leadership, the effectiveness of equity programs, and assessment and teacher training. She is a skilled researcher who has secured substantial federal, state and private grant funds to support critical work on the issues of the advancement of women and gender equity. Known as an outstanding professor, Dr. Boyer has taught classes on working women in America, work-life balance, leadership development, youth and work, and career planning and development. Dr. Boyer holds a doctorate in Education and a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from the University of Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Villanova, and she received the Medallion of Excellence from the Department of Education and Counseling the year she graduated.

Tracy Brala is a marketing strategist who excels at taking ideas or technologies and creating new businesses. In her current role, she is commercializing a new business concept. Her business success at Comcast includes launching XFINITY WiFi Hotspots where she was responsible for all aspects of the Marketing, Communication and Customer Experience. Over 11 million people access this service each month. Prior to Comcast, Tracy operated her own consulting business focused on driving profitable growth through product and business development, branding, advertising, public relations and digital marketing. Tracy started her marketing career at The Campbell Soup Company, where she was responsible for launching Campbell’s Wellness Platform and the M’m! M’m! Good! Convenience Soup Platform. Tracy is a 1990 VSB graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Lauren W. Bright is Deputy General Counsel with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Director of the Foundation’s Washington, DC office. For nearly 12 years, Lauren has provided advice on a broad range of legal and strategic issues impacting the foundation and serves as lead counsel for its U.S. Program, Global Policy and Advocacy, and Communications teams. As Director of the Washington, DC office, Lauren oversees general operations and provides key input and guidance regarding policies and procedures impacting over 100 regionally-based staff. She is the author of several articles on association practice and management, and co-authored narratives on the impact of Historically Black Colleges and Universities in the United States. Lauren speaks frequently at meetings and conferences about tax exempt organization legal issues and has guest lectured on Tax-Exempt Organizations at the University of Washington Law School Graduate Tax Program.

Managing Principal of the mechanical and electrical consulting engineering firm Michaud Cooley Erickson, Kerry Cooley Bruggemann is a practicing mechanical engineer, working for clients such as the MSP International Airport, Cargill, and General Mills. As a third-generation engineer, Kerry possesses a passion for attracting new dynamic thinkers to the engineering field through her regular work with the National Society of Professional Engineers and as a Villanova University Alumni Association Board Member. In her leadership position at Michaud Cooley Erickson, Bruggemann is involved in all operations decisions such as hiring and staffing, developing design standards, and reviewing overall firm performance metrics. She is energized to build a growing organization that values its employees and provides engineering solutions to their valued clients.
 
Claire Bruno

Claire Bruno is currently the Director of Graduate Admissions at the Villanova School of Business. Prior to joining Villanova, Claire served as the Senior Associate Director in the Office of MBA Admissions at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, as well as the Associate Director of Graduate Enrollment Management at the Fox School of Business, Temple University. In addition to MBA Admissions, she has a background in undergraduate admissions, having previously worked with liberal arts colleges, such as Dickinson College, where she focused on international and multicultural recruiting. Before transitioning to the field of admissions, Claire worked in financial services, both in Equity Research as well as with special situation funds, dealing with acquisitions and labor relations.

Fran Burns has served over 20 years in the public sector in various leadership positions. She most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of the Philadelphia School District, with responsibility for 2,600 employees, $500 million of annual expenditures and a member of the Superintendent’s core team. Fran has held key public sector positions in Philadelphia including the first woman Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Intergovernmental Cooperation Authority and serving four years as Commissioner of the Department of Licenses and Inspections under Mayor Michael Nutter. Fran has also served as Assistant Director in the respective Budget and Managing Director offices for the City of Philadelphia. She also had a short stint as Executive Director of the Manayunk Development Corporation. Fran graduated from Villanova University in 1997 with a degree in political science and a minor in history and holds a Master in Public Administration from Villanova University graduating in 1999. In Fall 2017, Fran was honored to join Villanova University as full-time faculty of the Master of Public Administration program.

Stephanie Lim Capello became the Chief Development Officer of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania in October of 2014. Stephanie crafts and spearheads comprehensive, multifunctional, integrated plans for fund development, community partnerships, and outreach programming. Capello oversees outreach programming to more than 8,000 girls in underserved communities in our area and created a process to measure success through metrics and evaluation. As a key member of the council’s Senior Leadership Team, the CDO participates in setting strategic direction and building internal and external capacity by aligning resources to advance the vision, mission and policies of the council. The CDO is a champion for strategically repositioning the council’s development and community partnerships efforts for greater growth. Capello has more than 17 years of fundraising, event planning, membership, marketing, and communications experience in the not for profit sector with a particular focus on arts, culture, and education. She was named among Main Line Magazine’s 40 under 40 and top 10 People to Watch in the Philadelphia region.

Activist, entrepreneur, public speaker, Washington D.C. powerbroker, and passionate advocate of women’s political engagement — Sarah Chamberlain plays many roles. As President and CEO of Republican Main Street Partnership, Sarah leads an organization that supports the governing wing of the Republican Party in Congress. She is the only woman in the country who serves as the CEO of a major Republican organization. As the creator and facilitator of the Women2Women National Conversations Tour, Sarah has become one of the most important national voices calling for women to become more involved in the political process. Sarah has written for the Washington Post, U.S. News & World Report, and other national publications and is a frequent guest on national media programs. She was chosen by CQ Roll Call as a 2017 Rising Star, and featured as one of Elle Magazine’s "10 Women in Washington" in 2017.

Sue Cote retired from Ernst and Young (EY) in June 2015, after almost 18 years as a partner in the Asset Management Practice. She was the Global Asset Management Assurance Leader (2006–2015) and was the America’s Director of Ernst and Young’s Asset Management Practice (2006–2013). She brings more than 35 years of experience in financial services, including 25 years in public accounting (18 at EY) serving financial services clients and 14 years in the investment management industry (at Prudential). Sue’s 35+ year career spans many aspects of the asset management business, including accounting, operations, technology, regulatory and product development. Sue is a past board member and treasurer of the New York Women’s Foundation, a not-for-profit focused on improving the lives of women and girls in New York City. Sue is also a board member (from September 2015) of the SEI Mutual Funds, a 100 Fund complex located in Oaks, Pa.

Terence Dalton is currently President and Chief Executive Officer of Concord Foods, a private equity backed food manufacturer serving food service and industrial businesses. Terence has worked in the food and beverage industry for more than 28 years. Early in his career, he worked for large consumer products groups, such as PepsiCo, Snyder’s-Lance, Danone Group and Sara Lee. In the last 15 years, he has transitioned his career to managing small- to medium-sized emerging food businesses in the private equity arena. He successfully sold Glutino Food Group in 2011 to Boulder Brands, now part of Pinnacle Foods, and sold Superior Cake Products in 2016 to Hostess Brands, Inc. He received a BSBA in Marketing from Villanova University in 1989 and his MBA from West Chester University in 1996.

Terry graduated from Villanova University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. While at VU, he was a member of the track & cross country teams. Terry's entrance into the business world was gained by campus interviews at Villanova's Career Development Center. Terry worked at MetLife in their group insurance division providing mid-sized and large businesses with employee benefits plans including health, disability, and life insurance. He left in 1991 as Regional Director overseeing business development and account management operations in the Delaware Valley. Terry then joined employee benefits consulting firm RSI, which merged with the Gallagher Benefits Services division of Arthur J. Gallagher in 2008. Terry's role during his time at RSI and Gallagher included business development and account management. Terry retired in June 2012 to experience new adventures with his wife and three children. He has thoroughly enjoyed his time by training for marathons and doing other fitness activities, traveling and reading.

Denise L. Devine is an experienced independent board director, experienced Compensation Committee Chair and Audit and Risk Committee Chair and a qualified financial expert. A proven innovator, she has particular expertise in developing technology platforms with resulting commercialized product applications, intellectual property and IP strategy, licensing and strategic alliances. Her experience spans from entrepreneurial start-ups to Fortune 100 corporations. Devine is Founder and CEO of FNB Holdings, LLC, a company dedicated to initiatives in the health and wellness space. She is also a Founder, CAO and CFO of RTM Vital Signs, LLC an early stage medical device company that is developing technology to monitor vital signs remotely, continuously and in real time. As Founder and CEO of Nutripharm Inc., Devine led the development of a technology platform that generated a portfolio of composition and process patents to create innovative natural food, beverage, pharmaceutical and nutraceutical products. Devine serves on several boards, including the Villanova University Board of Trustees and the Advisory Board of the MacDonald Center for Obesity Prevention and Education in Villanova’s College of Nursing. She has received numerous Honors and Awards including the “Best 50 Business Women in Pennsylvania” Governor’s Award, the Gold Medal Alumnae Award from Villanova University, the Take the Lead Award from the Girl Scouts and the Iris Newman Award from the Alliance of Women Entrepreneurs.
 
Rev. Peter M. Donohue OSA

The Reverend Peter M. Donohue, OSA, became the 32nd president of Villanova University on June 1, 2006. Under his leadership, Villanova has charted a course of significant transformation that includes embarking on an ambitious ten-year strategic plan, launching the University’s largest comprehensive fundraising campaign, initiating a vibrant physical campus renovation and dramatically expanding student opportunities. Bolstered by this vision, the University has introduced new initiatives, become more nationally recognized for its academic prowess and broken University admission records. Father Donohue has also worked together with students, faculty, staff, alumni, and parents to strengthen the Villanova community and renew its commitment to the institution’s Augustinian, Catholic educational mission. Born in the Bronx, New York, and raised in Royal Oak, Michigan, Father Peter earned a bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in 1975 and was ordained an Augustinian priest in 1979. He has a master’s in Theatre from the Catholic University of America, a master's in Divinity from the Washington Theological Union, and a Ph.D. in Theatre from the University of Illinois.
 
Susanne Donovan

Susanne Feehery Donovan is an Assistant Director, Career Development at Villanova University. She also serves as the Liaison to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, Office of Disability Services and Office of Learning Support Services. As an Adjunct Faculty member, she teaches various professional development topics including Professional Writing and Charting Your Course in Science. Currently Susanne works with undergraduates and alumni on all matters pertaining to careers such as choosing a path, resume writing, practice interviewing, graduate school preparation, etc. Starting her career counseling career with Villanova University in 2011 as a Graduate Assistant, Susanne has advised students of all majors and interests. Prior positions were in the corporate reinsurance and insurance sectors as an Assistant Vice President of Reliance Ceded Reinsurance and as an Assistant Manager of the Commercial Lines Department at Chubb and Son, Inc. While Susanne enjoyed time as a stay at home mom, she totally understands the challenges of switching gears in the professional market place. Her motto to all students/ clients is “You jump in where you jump in, learn the challenges and start swimming”. She attended Immaculata University, where she obtained a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology and graduated from University of Delaware, with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, Minor in Biology.
 
Michele Etzel '87

Michele Etzel is Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of National Graphics Inc., one of the top commercial printers in the nation serving Fortune 500 companies. She is a recognized expert in the areas of finance, accounting, business development, operations, merger/acquisitions, procurement and manufacturing streamlining and cost containment. She also serves as an advisor and consultant to high growth family office businesses, nonprofits in operations and turnarounds. Known for her real world financial, organizational and strategic experience, she has been a guest lecturer on business growth, operations, and expertise in fiscal responsibility, fiscal literacy for young adults and advocacy for working women and girls in the business world. Michele received her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Villanova University and a degree in Executive Management at Cornell University. She is passionate about her family and has dedicated herself to issues surrounding their educational, athletic and personal pursuits. Michele is a member of the Executive Board of Directors of the Girls Scouts of Connecticut, an advisor and investor at the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute. Along with Yale, she is a member of the Board of the International Women’s Forum – Connecticut on their Executive Committee, a Commissioner on the E911 Commission for the State of Connecticut and the Villanova Women’s Professional Network and Alumni Recruiting Network.
 
Amy Fleischer PhD, '91, '96

Amy Fleischer is professor and chair of Mechanical Engineering at Villanova University. She also heads the NovaTherm Research Laboratory, where her research interests include the broad topics of sustainable energy system design and thermal management of electronic systems. Fleischer was the first female to be named a full professor in the College of Engineering and continues to help Villanova lead the way in female representation in the engineering disciplines. She most recently served as Chair of the Steering Committee that guided the establishment of the Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership at Villanova, an interdisciplinary institute that focuses on advancing women leaders.
 
Marian Frattarola-Saulino

Marian Frattarola-Saulino is a leader in the disabilities field supporting civil and human rights, promoting inclusion in schools and communities, and co-producing sustainable support systems that include people, their families and allies. Her work spans over 25 years and includes a range of perspectives and opportunities, from advocate and support worker, to administrator and social entrepreneur. Since 2005, Marian has served as the CEO of Values Into Action, a network of innovative nonprofit service organizations supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With her husband and partner Paul, she founded Values Into Action on the belief that exceptional service is a matter of choice, not chance. Everyone accepting support with the organizations has the opportunity to control and lead their services, exclusively in their own homes and communities.
 
Gary A. Gabriele PhD

Dr. Gary Gabriele joined Villanova University in 2006 as Dean of the College of Engineering. Prior to coming to Villanova, Dr. Gabriele served for two years as the Division Director for the Engineering Education and Centers Division of the National Science Foundation. Since arriving at Villanova, the college has expanded its graduate and research programs, including a new PhD program, expanded its online programs offerings, developed several innovative undergraduate teaching initiatives, and increased the number of underrepresented faculty and students in the College.
 
Greta Gilbode '02

Greta Gilbode is an administrator at Penn Medicine with ten years of business experience in health care marketing and management. Prior to entering the field of health care administration Greta worked in marketing and communications for a boutique marketing communications firm and in business development and marketing for Penn Medicine. She has recently been promoted to the senior leadership team at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center where she will be responsible for service line operations. Greta received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Villanova University in 2002, and a Master of Business Administration in Health Care Administration from St. Joseph’s University in 2011. She is a wife, a mother and avid runner. She has a passion for women’s leadership and fitness. She also serves on the Villanova University Alumni Board of Directors.
 
Kevin Grubb
Assistant Vice Provost for Professional Development and Executive Director of the Career Center

Kevin Grubb is a nationally recognized expert in career services in higher education with expertise in the impact of new technology and social media on job searching and recruiting. Kevin has been with Villanova in the Career Center since 2010 and prior to that worked in the Career Center at New York University. In 2013, he was the lead author of the Career Counselor’s Guide to Social Media in the Job Search, published by the National Association of Colleges & Employers (NACE). Kevin was named the “Rising Star” by NACE in 2015 and by the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) in 2014. As Executive Director of the Career Center & Assistant Vice Provost for Professional Development at Villanova University, Kevin provides leadership to the Career Center and works in partnership with the Colleges to ensure high quality career and professional development services are delivered across the institution to all Villanova students and alumni.
 
Emily Hughes '12

Hughes graduated from Villanova University in 2012 having earned both a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Communication during her four years, plus a minor in Mathematics. She started her career in digital public relations in Washington, DC working for government and nonprofit clients in the education sector before moving back to New York City. There she worked at Time Inc. growing the digital presence of brands like Food & Wine, Travel + Leisure, and Departures. In 2015, Emily was recruited by Gwyneth Paltrow to be the first-ever Audience Development Director for her luxury lifestyle brand goop. Hughes later left to start her own company, Loup Digital, an audience development agency that helps lifestyle media and ecommerce brands acquire, retain, and convert audiences. Outside of work, Emily teaches audience development and social media at Columbia University during the summers, and volunteers for Villanova whenever possible.
 
Georgette Kiser '92 MS

Georgette Kiser is a Managing Director and Chief Information Officer at The Carlyle Group where she is responsible for leading the firm’s Global Technology and Solutions (GTS) organization, by developing and driving IT strategies across the global enterprise, which includes the firm’s application development, data, digital, infrastructure, and program management and outsourcing activities. Adele Lindenmeyr, PhD was appointed Dean of Villanova University’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2014. Dean Lindenmeyr first joined the Villanova faculty in 1987 as an assistant professor of History, and was promoted to professor in 1999. She served as director of Villanova’s graduate program in History from 1992 until 1998, when she began a nine-year tenure as chair of the History department. She then served as the Dean of Graduate Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences from 2009 to 2014 before being appointed Dean of the College. As Dean, she sets the vision and direction for Villanova’s oldest and largest college, fosters academic innovation and drives fundraising efforts to benefit the College’s students, faculty and programs. Dr. Maggitti previously served as the Helen and William O’Toole Dean of the Villanova School of Business. He has been a faculty member since 2008 is also professor of Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship and the former Carmen and Sharon Danella Director of the Center for Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship (ICE Center) at the Villanova School of Business. Prior to academia, Dr. Maggitti spent nearly 15 years in the steel and mining industries, where he founded two successful companies and held a variety of roles, including chief executive officer, director of national sales, and board member. He has also consulted with a variety of international organizations—including several Fortune 500 companies—on many facets of strategy and entrepreneurial thinking. Sue McFarland Metzger is an Instructor of Management Information Systems at Villanova University. Prior to coming to Villanova, she was a Director of Global Support for SAP America, managing teams and processes that provided large scale, global support to critical customer situations. She received her MS in Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and undergraduate degree from Bucknell University. In this role, she leads a global team of attorneys and other legal professionals supporting all aspects of Solenis’ business, including commercial transactions, litigation, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, human resources and employee benefits, intellectual property, ethics and compliance, information technology and governmental affairs. Warrick is a member of Solenis’ Executive Committee and Senior Leadership Team. Warrick holds a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

Anne Welsh McNulty is an active philanthropist and advocate for leadership development and social change. She is the co-founder and managing partner of JBK Partners, with businesses including investment management and a private philanthropic foundation. Before starting JBK Partners, she was a Managing Director of Goldman Sachs and a senior executive of the Goldman Sachs Hedge Fund Strategies Group. As a woman who has broken barriers herself in becoming a leader in her field, Anne is an enthusiastic advocate for women’s leadership. She actively supports initiatives that increase the representation of women in leadership positions and build conscious and inclusive environments that enable women to flourish—key aims of the Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership at Villanova.

Darla Wolfe is an innovative executive who uses technology to drive business transformation and growth. She is passionate about bringing the power of tech to the forefront of business models and believes access to STEAM education and development programs is key to future workforce opportunities, especially for women and people of color. Wolfe has held senior level roles at Fortune 500 companies including DuPont, Rohm and Haas, and SAP America but is also committed to entrepreneurship and angel investing. She is currently the CTO of Philadelphia-based sustainability startup MilkCrate and is Managing Partner of Sweat EquitE, LLC, a service company that matches experienced professionals to non-traditional work opportunities at start-ups and non-profits. Darla earned her BBA in Computer Science from Temple University, MBA in Leadership from Villanova University and is currently completing the Digital Transformation program at the University of Pennsylvania. She is on the Advisory Council of the Anne Welsh McNulty Institute for Women’s Leadership and on the Board of Directors for the Villanova University Alumni Association.
