Homecoming is a family-friendly event. Villanova alumni, students, families and guests from all class years are invited to attend! The Festival on Saturday will include entertainment for children: face painting, balloon artistry, lawn games, and more, as well as the Wildcat mascot.

Event Schedule

Do I need to register in advance?
Advanced registration is not required for the Homecoming Festival. Please note that the Black Alumni Network Brunch and Loyalty Award Reception preceding the Festival do require advanced registration.

Can I reserve a table at an event?
We do not offer assigned seating or reserved tables.

What methods can I use to register for Homecoming?
Online registration is the preferred method for the Black Alumni Network Brunch and Loyalty Award Reception, but you can also call 1-800-VILLANOVA and someone can help you with your registration. Click the Register Now button to register.

What credit cards can I use to pay for registration?

We accept American Express, VISA and MasterCard. We do not accept the Discover Card.

After you complete your registration, you will receive an email confirmation. Please retain this email for your records. If you have misplaced your confirmation email, you can call 1-800-VILLANOVA (1-800-845-5266) or email alumni@villanova.edu to request a copy.

Are refunds allowed?
For a refund, event cancellations must be made before October 1, 2018. For cancellations or adjustments to your registration, please click the modify registration link in your confirmation email, or contact the Alumni Office at 1-800-VILLANOVA (1-800-845-5266) or alumni@villanova.edu.

How will I get my event tickets?
Tickets for the Homecoming Festival will be available for purchase at the festival. For all other events, guests will check in at the door. Additional information will be provided as Homecoming approaches. 

Mobile App

New this year, Homecoming details will be available through a mobile app. The Homecoming 2018 app will launch on October 1. Additional information about mobile app features will be announced soon.

How do I log in to the app?
To log in, click the three dots in the upper right corner of the app menu. Your username is the email address you used to register. The password is Nova1842. If someone else registered for you, try logging in using the email address where you usually receive emails from Villanova. If that does not work, click the Ask A Question icon on the app menu to request that your email address be added, or email alumni@villanova.edu.

What is my password for the app?
The password to log in to the app is Nova1842.

How do I enable notifications?
Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the app menu screen, then click Settings. Make sure that the toggle for Allow Push is green. Also check your device's notification settings to ensure that notifications are allowed for the VU Events app.

How can I search for fellow attendees in the app?
There are two ways to search for other attendees. One way is to select the Attendee List icon on the main menu screen. In the Attendee List, click the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner to enter keywords in the search box, such as name, class year or college. Everyone that applies will appear in the results below. The second way is to select the Search icon on the main menu and enter the attendee's name into the search box. This will search the entire app for the attendee. General attendees for the Homecoming Festival may not be searchable via the app, as this event does not require registration.

The schedule of events is not displaying correctly in the app. What do I do?
Make sure you are using the most recent version of the VU Events app, version 1.4.

The app does not recognize my login information. What do I do?
Please ensure you are using the same email address you used to register. If you are still unable to log in, click the Ask A Question icon on the app menu to contact us, or email alumni@villanova.edu.

Food and Beverages

What food and beverages will be available during Homecoming?
A continental breakfast will be served during the Black Alumni Network Brunch. Light refreshments will be served during the Loyalty Award Reception. The festival will offer a wide variety of food options, beer, wine and soft drinks for purchase.

What to Bring

Temperatures and weather can vary in October, so for your own comfort, we recommend that you dress in layers and bring an umbrella, poncho or raincoat. Prior to departing for campus, make sure to consult the weather forecast and plan accordingly. We will provide severe weather updates through the Homecoming 2018 app and other University communication outlets.

What to Wear

What is the dress code for Homecoming Events?
There is no official dress code for the Black Alumni Network Brunch, Loyalty Award Reception or Homecoming Festival. This is a great opportunity to break out your Villanova gear! We encourage you to dress comfortably, especially if you plan to attend multiple events. Prior to departing for campus, make sure to consult the weather forecast and plan your attire accordingly. A jacket or sweater is strongly recommended as temperatures may vary by room and venue.

Traveling to Campus 

We have reserved a block of rooms at the Residence Inn in Conshohocken.
When calling the hotel at 610-828-8800 , please mention Villanova University Homecoming Weekend. Reservations must be made by October 4 to receive the discounted rate of $149/night. Should the block sell out, a number of additional hotel options are available in the Villanova area.

Parking will be available in the following locations: W-2 lots near the West Campus apartments (accessible via Spring Mill Road) I-1 parking garage at the corner of Lancaster and Ithan Avenues I-2 lots near the South Campus residence halls on Ithan Avenue View Parking Map Please note that parking on Main Campus may be limited. To drive onto Main Campus, enter through the Main Gate on S. Ithan Avenue (across from the Pavilion). To access the west side of Main Campus, enter via the Fedigan Hall gate off of Spring Mill Road. 

What is the hotel shuttle schedule?
Shuttles will run between the Residence Inn and the Connelly Center, starting at 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The shuttles will do continuous loops throughout the day in the slotted times, ending with the last run at 6:30 p.m. departing campus back to the hotel.

What options exist for off-campus travel?

Local taxi services are available for off-campus travel, including: Rosemont Taxi: (610)-525-1777 Main Line Taxi: (610)-272-1000. Ride-sharing services are also available.

Getting Around Campus

Villanova's campus is pedestrian-friendly, and staff members will be available to help provide directions to event locations. Click here to view Campus Map. Please email alumni@villanova.edu or call 1-800-VILLANOVA (1-800-845-5266) if you will require mobility assistance during the weekend.

Where are the nearest restrooms?
Connelly Center: Restrooms can be found on the ground floor of the Connelly Center, to the right of the entrance to the Villanova Room. Restrooms are also available on the top floor of the Connelly Center, to the left of the information desk. Dougherty Hall: The women's restroom is located on the east side of the building (closer to Bartley Hall), near the stairwell. The men's restroom is located on the west side of the building (closer to the Church), near the stairwell.

Are there lactation rooms available?
Yes, one will be available in the Rosemont Room in the Connelly Center and another will be in Bartley Hall Room 3030.

Will WiFi be available on campus?
Yes, Homecoming attendees will be able to use free WiFi during the event. Select the WiFi network called "HOMECOMING," enter the password “ALUMNI,” and accept the terms and conditions.

Can I reserve a table or a tent at a Homecoming event?
We do not offer assigned seating, reserved tables or tents.

Special Needs/Assistance

Please let us know about any specific special needs including dietary requirements or mobility needs, when you register by emailing alumni@villanova.edu or calling 1-800-VILLANOVA (1-800-845-5266). We will do our best to accommodate your needs. Let us know at least one week prior to the weekend, if possible.

With the exception of service dogs, pets are not permitted to attend. If you or someone in your party will be bringing a service dog, please contact us at alumni@villanova.edu or 1-800-VILLANOVA (1-800-845-5266).

Homecoming Football Game Inquiries

What time is the Villanova vs. New Hampshire football game?
The Villanova Wildcats will take on New Hampshire at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 27, 2018. Gates, concessions, and the beer garden will open at 12:30 p.m.

Don’t miss the Wildcat Walk at Noon! The band, cheerleaders, dance team, kickline and twirlers will lead the Wildcats through the A-2 parking lot as they make their way to the locker room before the game. The route of the Wildcat Walk will proceed from the access road in front of the Pavilion through the A-2 lot and into Villanova Stadium.

How can I purchase tickets to the game?
Homecoming game tickets can be purchased in person at the Villanova Athletics Ticket Office located on the Lancaster Avenue side of Villanova Stadium, by phone at 610-519-4100 or online. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Complimentary admission will be offered for current or retired military. Please visit the Villanova Athletics Ticket Office for your complimentary ticket.

Can I purchase food or beverages inside Villanova Stadium?
Food and beverage selections will be available for purchase. In its familiar spot in the east end zone, the concession stand will have a brand new menu with fresh food prepared on site. Menu options for 2018 include cheesesteaks, bratwursts and pulled pork sandwiches in addition to hot dogs, burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries and other snacks. All forms of payment including cash, credit/debit cards and Nova Bucks will be accepted.

The beer garden, located in the east end zone by the Talley Athletic Center, will have beer selections and wine available for purchase. Alcohol sales are limited to this space and fans may not bring beer and wine into the stadium seating areas. Cash and credit/debit will be accepted. The beer garden and concessions will be available from 90 minutes prior to kick off until the end of the third quarter.

How will military members be recognized during Homecoming?
The October 27 game is Military Appreciation Day! Complimentary admission will be offered for current or retired military. Please visit the Villanova Athletics Ticket Office for your complimentary ticket.

Navy and Army ROTC students will lead a joint march on the field 15 minutes prior to kickoff. At halftime, there will be an armed forces swearing-in ceremony followed by a military-themed band performance.
